Nigerian Artistes continue to take the Afrobeats sector by a storm with their tenacity and versatility. Coming on the heel of other groundbreaking achievements achieved over the years is the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with several Nigerians superstars earning nominations in different categories.
The nominees were unveiled in a ceremony on 18th March 2023 with Burna Boy, Asake, Ayra Starr and Kizz Daniel earning nominations for the Best African Artist Category.
Other Nigerians that made the nomination list includes Omah Lay nominated for Best Collaboration for his verse on King Promise’s ‘Ten Toes’, BNXN for ‘Better Days’ with Sarkodie, Yemi Alade for ‘Dumebi’ , her collaboration with Mzvee and Mayorkun also for his verse on Camidoh’s ‘Sugarcane’ remix.
The 2023 VGAMs will hold on May 13 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
