Fans have eagerly awaited the new album for months, and Davido did not disappoint with a 17-track masterpiece that features music legends like Angelique Kidjo, Asake, Skepta, and The Cavemen, among others. The album also features the hit single “Champion Sound” featuring Amapiano star Focalistic.
This latest album marks Davido’s return to the music scene after a long hiatus following the tragic loss of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke. The artist retreated from the limelight and social media, but his fans poured out love and support for him during his time away. The release of “Timeless” comes just after Davido revealed that he had tied the knot with his longtime sweetheart, Chioma Rowland. During a recent interview, he opened up about the experience of taking time away to reflect, rest, and make new music. He revealed that he had originally recorded an album before his hiatus, but decided to remake it during his time away.
In anticipation of the album’s release, Davido partnered with Spotify to release an exclusive trailer, and the streaming platform has expressed its excitement to support the album’s rollout.
